I’ve just been diagnosed with degenerative joint disease. I’m only 46 and I’ve been dealing with this pain for at least 15 years. Is it common for someone as young as me to have severe degenerative joint disease?
Rosemarie asked:

For example – I know someone who has osteoatthritis and joint pain, some due to Lupus. I heard Glucosamine Chondroitin is good? Anything else? (traditional or alternative means – or home remedies )

I was in a car accident about a year ago and my neck still hurts and makes this weird cracking/grating noise when I turn it sometimes. I kind of want to go see my doc and see if I can get some x-rays or an MRI done, but I don’t want to be over reacting.

I have never had neck pain before this happened, and my neck never made noises before this.

Thanks!

I wonder how people with degenerative arthrosis also known as degenerative arhtritis or degenerative osteoarthritis, have deal with the unbearable pain and work. Have this condition stop you from working ? How can I return to work, and with what medications to kill the severe pain on my feet and knees joints ? I dont want to become bedwritten, Im only 29 years old and already have Degenerative Arthrosis on my both feet & both knees, periostitis atributed to enthesopathy, tendinitis, synovitis, crps, rsd, a fracture on my foot that havent healed yet in 5 years since it happened, etc, not to mention the depresion this have caused me, but im not giving up yet. Althouht im in a lot of constant severe pain, I will like to know if this condition will get less painfull with time or if is going to get worst and what can I do, since doctors are afraid to give straight answers on this questions. Anyone suffering from any of this conditions, I will appreciate any comments on this. Thanks.

The doctor found this with an x-ray but didn’t explain any thing to me. If you have had to deal with this could you give me an idea of what questions I should ask him, any personal info on this would be appreciated. Thank you

About 7 years ago, I had a broken ankle which now has resulted in osteoarthritis. About a month ago, it felt like bugs were crawling on the top of my foot. They weren’t & I’m not on drugs. Now if I touch the back of my ankle, I can feel it in the front. Should I be concerned? It doesn’t hurt; it’s just annoying.
